Ymbren

Ymbren
n (-nes/-nu) Ember tide, Ember day, Embren; the name of the four periods of fasting and prayer appointed by the Church to be observed in the four seasons of the year respectively. Each was a period of three days, a Wednesday and the following Friday and Saturday (1st week of March, 2nd week of June, 3rd week of September, and the last week before Christmas in December).
